Yeah, I often disagreed with him, but he was one of the very few critics I've ever been able to stomach.

This is sad to hear. I'd have to think deeper on all the critics that I occasionally read the reviews of, but off the top of my head, I'd have to say that he may very well be the only one that I liked and respected his opinion. Damn shame. I knew this day would be coming sooner rather than later. Sucks when these old guys you respect so much pass away. Here's to hoping Stan Lee who is currently older than dirt, don't join him soon. That combination would ruin my year.
