One more fight appears to be on tap for UFC on Fuel 10: Nogueira vs. Werdum in Fortaleza, Brazil. Tatame reports that Brazilian bantamweight Raphael Assuncao will fight England's Vaughan Lee on June 8th.

Assuncao (18-4) recently pulled off an upset win over Mike Easton at UFC on Fox 5 in December. He's now won his last 3 fights (all at 135 lbs) after suffering a KO loss in his UFC debut against Erik Koch at featherweight. It should be noted that Assuncao broke his arm in the Easton fight. Assuncao is the #6 ranked bantamweight in the UFC's official rankings page.

Such a confusing fight. I would have thought Assuncao would have gotten a higher ranked opponent than Lee. Seems like a gimme for him in Brazil.

Lee is a step down from Easton. I don't see any way Lee can beat Assuncao.

Agree with all that was said; bad match up, a gimme, a step down in competition. Now I kind of want an upset just for fun.

I dislike Vaughn Lee but, if I actually watched the season of TUF that he was on I night reconsider. He has proven to me that he is in fact an improving fighter and a solid fighter despite his can crushing resume

I disagree with everyone, Assuncao is going to murder him by whatever he wants.

Wait, that's the general consensus?

I agree with everyone.

He was actually never on TUF. But ya agree with what you said, he seems to be much improved since his debut
