By the time Ronda Rousey won her bronze medal in judo at the 2008 Summer Olympics, Gina Carano was already an undefeated MMA fighter with a 6-0 record and the bulk of the attention in the world of women's fighting.

The article failed to mention something important. During the media scrum in which the conversation took place, some members of the media mentioned that she probably wouldn't be able to make 135. Dana's response was, "I guess that ain't gonna happen then".

gina has been out of the game too long. she needs to stay where she's at unless she's ready to give it 100%

i agree with what u said..all 3 of urs, but if the UFC 'did' sign her, and gave her a big gimme and slowly worked her way up, it would def help the UFC with the women division..the women division needs all the star power it can get..Cybor and Gina woulda def give em that boost..

She could never make 135 regardless... nevermind the fact she hasn't fought in years.

Given the recent photos i've seen of her, I strongly doubt she could make 145lbs much less 135lbs. Gina has plumped up quite a bit.
