I think he should hang em up. That or not really call out elite welterweights. That fight wasnt even competitive. I dont want to see bj take any more beatings like that.

At this point I think he should call it quits. He took a brutal beating in his last fight and at 170 he hasn't found much success in the last few years. 2 wins over Matt Hughes and a draw with Fitch will only get you so far. Either take one more stab at 155 or call it a day.

155 or bust. As his athleticism fades he just can't hang with guys that much bigger than him.

I agree with 155 or bust. This is a relatively minor surgery, and I could be wrong, but I don't think this really even compares with Belcher's detached retina.

I used to work at a convenience store near a medical center that did basic surgery like this, and it seems different for everyone. Some people were right back to normal right away and some said they were worse than they started for months. Same with lasik back then too.

Belcher had to lay face down on a massage table for around 20 hours a day for a few weeks.
not too familiar w/ cataracts surgery, but never heard of anyone having to go through what belcher did post-surgery after cataracts surgery. if im wrong, please tell me.

Yeah, Joe Soto had the same issue after the Warren fight, and Lamont Brewster had four surgeries and is completely blind in that eye from the same thing. Eyeballs are a motherfucker.

You mean Lamon Brewster, former WBO heavyweight champion? Calvin Brock's career was also ended by eye injury.
