A verbal agreement gone wrong.

That's the best way to describe what happened between Bellator lightweight Rick Hawn and lifestyle brand HTFU.

Hawn took to Twitter Monday to explain that after losing the Bellator lightweight title fight to champion Michael Chandler last Thursday, HTFU decided to break their sponsorship agreement.

He wrote, "one of my main sponsors from my fight canceled his check cuz (sic) he wasnt (sic) happy with the outcome or my performance."

HTFU had verbally agreed to pay Hawn $1,500 to wear their apparel on fight night. They also sent him extra gear...

A very loose verbal agreement on the cornerman wearing the shirts.

Damage is already done with his actions and words. Can't take those back. Showed what he really is.

I'm guessing he is sort of new to this game or his business is pretty new, but honestly I hope he doesn't last long. We don't need any people like this around.

Soooooo Rick after a smaller company sponsors you, and you don't live up to the full agreement you go viral and let the world know what happened. Sure you got your 1,500 dollars today, but what about tomorrow? What company is going to take the risk on you next time?

Better hope you get added back in the next LW turney.

Did you read the other part of this on why the sponsor was stopping the check? B/c the sponsor said Rick didn't win. So, he was only going to pay Rick if he won or put on a good fight.

There was no mention of the cornermen not wearing shirts when the sponsor said he was stopping the check and now he throws it in there this time. Doubt it was in the written contract. And the sponsor didn't say that the cornermen needed to wear the shirts. He just asked if the cornermen needed shirts.

Zahbi can't wear other shirts anyways as he has a deal with another company.
