He would have to drop to 185 FIRST and then earn the offer.

This. Silva makes everyone look bad. Gegard has beaten Lombard, Manhoef and Hunt, all guys, who scare the shit outta me.

Even though Gegard hasn't earned it, I would love to see this fight. One of the great talents in the sport and still only 27. Only 1 loss in 6 and a half years, and I don't think there's much shame in getting outwrestled by a guy who used to be the #1 ranked American in his weight class.

gegard has not been active enough lately. he's not what he used to be. i think he could be a great fighter and a force at the MW div. but he needs to fight top guys and train with top camps.

This. I was all aboard the Mousasi hype train during his Dream run but he's been out a year now and to me he hasn't really stood out too much during his time in Strikeforce. I will say this though. Mousasi looked better at Middleweight imo. I wouldn't mind seeing him go back there.

Moussassi is 32-3 with one of his losses coming from when he beat the ever loving shit out of Mo off his back. He's done more than enough to prove he is an elite fighter.
I didn't hear half as many complaints when they set up Bonnar v Silva. I know a title fight and a last minute 'save the card bout' is different but my goodness.

Can I get some clarification? Would he move to 185 to fight Silva or would he lose the weight simply out of fear?

The only 205# to earn a shot at Andy is Hendo. He earned it back when he knocked Bisping's head off. The outcome of that fight didn't fit with Dana's plans and that was one of the reasons Hendo left for Strikeforce. I would rather see Dan get Jones, but if the UFC wont book that fight, give Hendo Silva.

You must be talking about someone else. Gegard is the guy who picks his nose before massacring people in the cage. I'm pretty sure he hasn't felt anything... Ever.
