Megumi Fujii is likely going out out on a high note. The 38-year-old MMA veteran defeated Mei Yamaguchi via unanimous decision today at Vale Tudo Japan 2012 in Tokyo.

War Mega Megu! One of my favourite female fighters of all time. Good to see her go out victorious. Mad respect to Megumi Fujii.

There are so many great fighters out there that due to management issues wilm never make it to the big time. In WMMA Fuji was like Fedor, an uncrowned king. Huge internationally but nearly unknown in the U.S., when finally brought to the U.S. it was too late, in the wrong organization, and with the wrong competition. Fedor should have never fought Bigfoot, it should have Randy.....Fuji was attempting to fight the biggest names in her division and on the biggest stage possible. I just hope more of the world's talent get moved to the bigtime during their prime instead of after.
