The UFC's return to Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel and Casino from the Palms Casino Resort was the result of a fallout between UFC President Dana White and the Palms.

White on Saturday confirmed to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) the accuracy of a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which stated he cut ties with the venue when his credit limit was cut in half.

"I had a little beef with the Palms, and I ripped the UFC out of there," he said with a chuckle...

If I was Dana, I would probably do the same thing - but I haven't grown up yet

I know it's immature, but its pretty insulting to have your credit rating cut - who made that public anyway? Was it Dana?

Personally, I don't have a big issue with what he did.

I dont have an issue with this. If I had control over a billion $ company who helped make the casino money, blew aton of my own money there and they cut my credit in half you bet your ass I take my business else where

I feel the same way Grap.

It's nothing different than what most people do on a regular basis, of course on a much smaller scale. If you have a problem with a company/business usually you will stop giving them your business, but because this is Uncle Dana, people immediately want to talk shit. Given he doesn't always conduct business in the most professional way, but I don't see him doing any wrong here.

The problem is with making business decisions based on personal, non-economic motives. The sole question that the UFC should be asking itself when it makes a decision is what is in the best interest of the company. If the UFC is ending business relationships on account of personal slights to Dana, that's a signal to everybody else the UFC has a relationship with or wants to have a relationship with. If the UFC wants to be taken seriously in the business world, it needs to make decisions in a serious way. This does nothing but hurt the UFC's business reputation as something more than a privately-held company run by amateurs from the locals casino business in Vegas. And for what? So Dana doesn't have to undergo the shame of going into a casino that reduced the amount he can owe the house? Maybe there is more to it than this, and this is just a tip of an iceberg of Vegas business/politics that we don't know about. But if the story really is just a response to a personal slight on Dana, then it's just one more example of how the UFC is outgrowing Zuffa.
