In a battle of former TUF 10 cast members, Roy Nelson will now meet Matt Mitrione at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale on Dec. 15 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com learned from sources close to the event.
When contacted by MMAFighting.com, both Mitrione, as well as Nelson's camp declined to comment on the pending fight. According to sources, though, both fighters have verbally agreed to meet next month.
The news comes just a day after Shane Carwin pulled out of the Nelson bout due to an injured knee.

Nelson should get the win, definitely can't see Meathead knocking out Big C, or controlling the fight in route to a decision.

Big Country will win this fight where ever he wants in my opinion. I personally think you will see Big Country take Meathead down just because it's the safest way for him to get the victory

Ahhh man!! I dont like this fight AT ALL. This is what I call a "CHAFAS" fight.. just means-- its chafas.. lol can't explain it. Im not a fan of Nelson and I dont like how it will probably turn out with him winning..

I like the replacement. Roy should get the W but if he doesn't it's a perfect time for hime to drop to LHW. I think he would be a beast at that weight.

I was afraid this would be the route they go. Kind of a disappointing fight. Mitrione just isn't ready for a guy like Nelson. It could be worse though.
