I am thinking the SF doesn't ham him pinned for a fight on their next card and the UFC isn't breaking down his door to get him to jump ship either. (Sucks but I get it after 3 failed drug tests.)

The UFC should be trying to sign him for his talent, but may not due to his past.

My first thought reading the thread title was was this bumped from 10 years ago. Has Barnett even fought for Pancrase since 2003? How does he have a title to defend?

He's burned bridges with the UFC and probably with American MMA promoters in general. At 34 years old and coming off of a loss I don't see Dana White making an exception to take him back.

I remember the Kondo fight. What a size mismatch that was. It was sad seeing Kondo waste his prime fighting guys so much larger than him.

With the heavyweight roster being as weak as it is UFC should be begging for Barnett back. Why hold a grudge Dana?

HW is a double edged sword right now. Compared to MW, WW, LW it is a wek division, however it is still the strongest its ever been in the UFC. Barnett would be a great addition obviously, and I get it one way or another with Zuffa's decision. I'd love to see him fight Overeem, Struve, Cain, hell even Nelson.....but setting the precedence that his actions will not be tolerated in their organization is totally understandable.
