I'm not trying to be an asshole by doing this, but there needs to be more power giving out to the Mods or add another Admin.

Reason being is that the closing times for fights is a bit ridiculous, the past L2 event was originally slated to close well before a day from when the 1st event started. Now with today's UFC 153 event it closes with almost 6 hours left before the event starts. There should be no reason for events not to close until at least 30 mins before a main card event starts, and for L2 to the same before the 1st event starts.

To my best knowledge Hippy. is the one that controls all of this, so all the mods can do is bring up the changes to him, and then have to wait until he responds, with giving the mods a little more power, this can eliminate this.

I agree the last L2 was early, but what is going to happen in that six hours before UFC 153 that is so important?

It's not like it's a surprise or anything.

Got it in one.

There's always plenty of time to get picks in.

Not everyone picks early, there's quite a few people who wait til the last day to get their picks in, plus with extended time it let's people make changes.

in my opinion - unless there is a late change in the card (last minute replacement due to injury or something) - I think things are just fine they way they are...

Unless its an over seas event..England..China..Japan etc. It should close at the same times..4pm..5pm etc.

Getting your picks in one day before the event is hardly early

I'm finding it hard to feel bad for someone who has trouble with the incredibly simple system on this site that says "The event closes at this time, get your picks in before the aforementioned time"

...or if the lockout times aren't kosher, someone can point it out to a mod via PM rather than complaining about it after the fact? Just saying...there are hundreds of you guys and only a few of us. Let us know BEFORE, not after, if you're not content w/lockout times.

Okay so by doing that, the mods still have to get a hold of Hippy., still have to wait for him to make the changes...

Fleek, this wasn't just for this event, it's a common thing with the closing times, closing way before. Just felt like finally bringing it up.

Shelter, got what you had to say the 1st time, we know were you stand on the subject...

So the downside to PM'ing one of us mods is that you have to wait? C'mon, Dave.

Hippy isn't the only one that can change it either. Jay (DTM) can and I've recently been given more access - I'll check to see if this is something I can edit.

PM us...the wait shouldn't be an issue for anyone. This is usually only brought up when someone misses the deadline.

I'm accessible pretty much 24-7. Get at me and I will see to it that it gets changed if warranted.

You still use hotmail? Aren't they making everyone switch to outlook addresses or are they letting people use the hotmail address to auto-forward to the @outlook.com's? Or do I have no clue what I'm talking about? I just haven't used hotmail since the 90's and I thought this year they were to force everyone to move from @hotmail.com to @outlook.com with a full overhaul to try and not let gmail steamroll them.
