Bonnar fought last month though. It's a 3 year rule and Arona hasn't fought in over 3 years, retired or not.
I might be wrong but that's how we've played in other fantasy drafts.

I like the 3 year rule. As much as I agree with you Kpro (this case, it's a black and white case of Arona not being retired) the 3 year rule is a nice simple way to immediately see if he's eligible or not. The whole retired/not retired thing can have so many different shades of gray (50) and can become a slippery slope to picking guys who say they aren't retired but obviously are.
