At least one fighter will walk away from Friday's UFC on FX 5 event with a guaranteed title shot.

The winner of a main-card bout between "The Ultimate Fighter 14" winner John Dodson (13-5 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Jussier Formiga (14-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will get the first shot at the recently awarded flyweight title.

UFC President Dana White today confirmed the plans with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

UFC on FX 5 takes at Target Center in Minneapolis. The night's main card airs on FX, and FUEL TV and Facebook carry the prelims.

If that's the case, I would love to see this baby go 5 rounds.

That would have been awesome.

Imo all number 1 contender fights should be 5 rounders. It gets them ready for the real thing.

The short answer is nicknames in Brazil began when they were a Portuguese colony. Typically, people have three to four names, their given names, their mother's last name, then their father's. Sometimes, a saint's name to bump it up to four. And being such a populated country, it wasn't uncommon for same or similar names to come up. So both for ease and distinction, it became more commonplace to use nicknames. As two MMA examples off the top of my head..

with this and also what prozac said about making it co-main.
They shouldn't be worried about time considering the Main event probably will not go the distance. The odds are -425 that Browne vs Silva will NOT go the distance.
The co-main may have the bigger name in Ellenberger but the FW fight has more at stake.
