Bonnar on UFC 153 fight with Silva: 'Like cramming for a final in college' |

How do you prepare for arguably the greatest fighter in MMA history on just a few weeks' notice?
Stephan Bonnar (14-7 MMA, 8-6 UFC) is still trying to figure it out as he readies for a late-notice light-heavyweight fight with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva (32-4 MMA, 15-0 UFC) next month at UFC 153.
"It's just like cramming for a final in college," he told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "I've got a big test in a few weeks."
So how do you prepare for such a major pay-per-view fight with essentially a three-week fight camp? Link

i think Bonnar scores a D on this exam. He'll give a respectable showing for a few minutes, earning him enough points on the multiple choice & true & false questions not to fail, but when he reads the essay question, he will realize that not only does he not know the answer but he is in way over his head.

im telling you all now.....DONT COUNT BONNAR OUT!
he is near impossible to finish (just ask jon jones) he has really good standup skills elite level not as good as silva but still good, he has really good BJJ very very underrated, AND this so called cramming for a final.....IT WORKS! sometimes its better to have less time and not over think everything.....plus when Bonnar is on his game he is one of the best.....dont count him out!

being an engineer still in college i know of finals that have left me bleeding in a certain area...
Bonnar will put up the fight and keep coming forward and fight andy like so many others have not. it will be bonnar's heart vs the killer instinct in andy. but bonnar is a tough SOB, has lost 7 times and only 2 of those loses were not decisions and both were loses because of cuts. shit jon jones couldnt even finish him and this was in jones kill mode days (and by that i mean he went balls to the walls instead of the jackson fighting system). I can see bonnar going the distance with andy but he will be stuck in brasil since they wont let him fly back looking like that with his face being messed up but hey some R&R in brasil is gonna be nice for him.

He's clearly not ready for this final if that's his analogy.
It also shows that if he loses this fight (or fails the test) he will probably retire or "dropout"

Hopefully the grading scale for this final is weighted.
I will give Bonnar a passing grade if he gets out of the first round. This would be an impressive feat compared to his classmates (other guys who have fought Silva.)

It was short notice fight that was made due to necessity.
No one is pretending that it makes sense.

Ok, I'll ask. You're joking right? Did you just call Bonnar's stand up elite??
On another note; I think Silva is gonna cram his knee down your throat too... Sorry B
