What about the original matchup, Lamas vs. Frankie at LW? Sure there's no Brazilian in it, but it's a solid fight.
Also, anyone think there's a chance Anderson steps up to save this card?

Edgar picks both of these guys apart pretty easily IMO. No way are they taking him down and no way are they outstriking him.

I'd rather they didn't give this fight to Urijah.
Of course, I'd rather not see Urijah in any fights....so my opinion is pretty useless here.

I had a feeling Aldo was going to pull out and I have the old messages to prove it haha...The fighters "getting hurt" thing is getting out of hand and yes I do think some of them fake an injury to get out of the bout.
Too many fighters now, everyones hungry and losses now send you spiraling down, fans lose interest in you fast, lose money, millions see you lose. I will say I dont think anyone is afraid to fight but I do think that some of them are afraid to lose.
Aldo doesnt want to fight people that can beat him right now, he wants to build a legacy like Anderson Silva, Frankie would likely lose rounds 1 and maybe 2 but Aldos cardio is shit and Edgar would out score him in the next 3 winning the DEC...Aldo never wanted it...
THis is so true and rememebr some of these brazilians grew up in slums...so now living the good life like heroes will all go away in a loss...

i'd love to see Faber vs Edgar at 145, even if Faber has no intentions of staying at that weight
I would too, and I don't care if it's for an interim or not. I think that would be a fantastic fight...and not an easy one to call either.

Posted by kingsmasher You can bet these guys who grew up poor are scared to death to lose... Especially Aldo... The limelight is more important than money for most...
Yes thats why all those Columbians in the 70's and 80's risked their lives to traffic coke into the US they wanted to be in the news it had nothing to do with becoming wealthy. Ppl from the slums could care less about being famous. They want want money the want to never go back to that kind of life.

Why is Silva so against fighting Weidman? He has a great chance to lose..
Aldos opponents were really jokes...Faber and Mendes have nothing to offer but wrestling but there short arms are a detriment to the takedown...
The only fighter you see stepping up regardless from Brazil who loves to fight is Shogun...Shogun grew up wealthy...He doesnt care about winning or losing affecting his lifestyle..
You can bet these guys who grew up poor are scared to death to lose... Especially Aldo... The limelight is more important than money for most...
1. Shogun turned down a Teixera fight recently 2. Faber & Mendes are jokes? i never heard that one before 3. "the limelight is more important than the money"??????? please elaborate further

I said the limelight is more important cause these guys are prolly be rich for life in Brazilian standards...so therefore you just get addicted to being important to others...
I mean if Aldo losses to Frankie...He gets a rematch....He losses again...All the sudden we wont care about an Aldo anymore so therefore he losses some relevance...so hes not as famous..I mean in the US does the number two guy get the big endorsement?

If they decide to do an interim belt I say no way to Faber. No offense to him but he'd get spanked. He had his chances at Bantamweight already.
They have to keep UFC 153 alive though. First Alan Belcher gets hurt and his match with Vitor gets cancelled. Then in the same day they cancel the main and co-main events. That sucks. They need to keep this event going.
Off the top of my head they could put Lamas against Edgar. And Bonner or Te Huna against Glover.
And when Rampage is ready sick Rashad on his tail and send him into retirement. Just and idea.
Te Huna would be nice in there for Texeira
