With quite a bit of time on his hands before he opens camp to prepare for a rematch with former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez on Dec. 29 at UFC 155, current heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos is fuming.

Not over Jon Jones or the cancelled UFC card, not over Thales Leitas' disparaging comments toward his friend and training partner Anderson Silva, but over comments made back in early July by suspended heavyweight challenger Alistair Overeem.

The two heavyweight juggernauts were expected to square off back in May at UFC 146, but Overeem was suspended for 9-months in April after a surprise drug test revealed that he had elevated testosterone levels. It's a suspension that dos Santos welcomed according to Overeem.

"I know [Junior dos Santos] didn't want to fight me in the first place," Overeem told MMA Fighting. "I know he was happy [about the NSAC decision], I just know that. I hit very hard, I've knocked out a lot of people, I've submitted a lot of people. I am, in any way you look at it, a legitimate threat to his title. I'm gonna get it. He knows that. Cain (Velasquez) is also doing very well right now, but Cain doesn't hit as hard as I do. Cain is smaller than I am and has less experience. I'm the biggest legitimate threat out there, that's why he's afraid."

I'm really looking forward to JDS Vs Cain. I like JDS in that matchup but I don't see it ending in 64 seconds like the last one.

Even more so I'm looking forward to JDS and The Reem. That's gonna be a monster of a fight. Still riding with my boy JDS.

War JDS.

this fight has to happen. people can say whatever about overeem, but with all his success in K1, strikeforce and dream, the only logical fight is for a ufc belt. when this happens i have no idea. you never know when something will happen and screw us all out of a big fight.

IMO I just don't see anyone beating Dos Santos. I honestly think Cain has the best shot if he can get Junior to the ground, but I don't think he could keep him there. Who knows though, Cain looked like a beast in his last fight.

This. I believe they are evenly matched, and if they fought 100 times, each would win around the same amount. They would also both be very tired.

i'd like to see if JDS has a sub game. he's already my fovorite fighter. if he's half as good on the ground as he is on his feet, the HWdiv. is in for a world of hurt

I'd want to take JDS against Reem but I feel JDS could be a little one dimensional and get caught with something.

I believe Cain could beat JDS though so I'm not sure we'll even see that fight yet.

Samesies. I really love this kid's attitude though, he seems genuine and rarely says anything negative about other fighters. Usually they say something first and he let's his game speak. I would like to seen Cain beat him, just to keep the division interesting.

I picked Cain the first time.
I'll pick Cain in a rematch.

However, if Junior Dos Santos sleeps Velasquez AGAIN..... I'll be done picking against JDS for a while.

This makes perfectly good sense prozac.
Hopefully Cain or JDS for that matter doesn't get hurt before their throwdown in December.
And obviously Hapa Browne would have to get past Big Ben, which I think he will w/o any big problems.
But yeah, if Cain gets hurt before their match Hapa vs Werdum would make sense. Werdum has improved so much sense lossing to JDS.
War JDS

I hope this fight happens sooner rather than later. This is the most interesting fight in the division right now, IMO. A rematch with Cain will be nice too, but I would rather see this fight, personally, if I had to choose.
