Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar will fight once again for the Lightweight title in the main event of UFC 150. The two first met at UFC 144 in Japan where Henderson was able to win the title with a decision victory. However, because the fight was so close, Dana White granted Frankie Edgar a rematch for the chance to regain his title. This will be Edgar's third rematch since winning the title from B.J. Penn at UFC 112. Henderson will attempt to solidify his title claim tonight at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. The main card starts at 10 PM EST (7 PM PST) on Pay-Per-View.
This will be Edgar's third rematch since winning the title from B.J. Penn at UFC 112. In fact, Ben Henderson is only his third new opponent in the last two and a half years. This became a source of controversy when the tonight's rematch was announced. Many wanted a fresh opponent for Henderson simply to keep the division progressing and didn't want to risk and Edgar win leading to a subsequent rubber match.
Last night, Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting caught up with Dana White after the UFC 150 weigh-ins. Dana White assured that, regardless of the outcome tonight, there would be no immediate third fight between the two. Instead, the UFC will fulfill their promise to Nate Diaz.

This is good news for Nate Diaz, and to the LW division. Nate deserves this shot more than anybody. He's on fire since coming back down to LW from WW. Making Gomi tap in the 1st, dismantling Donald Cerrone as an underdog and the ONLY man ever to finish Jim Miller. Man that was a nasty finish too. Fan or not of Nate Diaz that's impressive.

Bendo vs Diaz 2013
I think they could make this fight happen sooner than 2013. December sounds perfect to me. Just a thought, wouldn't that be a nice way to end the year and make up for some of the not so good PPV's we've had to deal with. Throw Diaz vs Bendo/Edgar winner for the belt along with another Championship matchup. Probably a HW or LHW title defense would make the most since. Or is this just wishful thinking.

a bendo/diaz fight is much more interesting to me than an edgar/diaz fight. either way, a title shot for diaz can only go one way..... awesome

What if the fight ends in a draw or no contest? I but Dana would change his mind then.
Are Edgar and Diaz actually going to fight one another?

If Bendo fights smart he should win. Just use his wrestling to take Nate down over and over again while getting in some ground and pound while staying out of sub range. I see this going down a lot like first fight Henderson had with Cerrone. I think it will be a good fight.

I'm not a fan of either Diaz bro but if I had to choose one it would be Nate. He's been real impressive of late and is deserving of his shot at the Champ. By no means am I gonna crown Nate the champ as we've seen plenty of guys "ready" and they either aren't at the champs level (Florian) or let their emotions get the best of them (Maynard). Diaz is good but let's see the fight first before we Proclaim him the Champ in waiting

Should be a great fight....hopefully Nate takes after big brother...loses a close decision, acts like a whiny baby...then retires...
