What two fighters have the most history between each other in MMA? Or do all grudges get solved by around the 3rd fight?

i believe i remember Travis Fulton saying he had fought the same guy 4 or 5 times on MMA@WORK.

Fulton has fought Rory Prazak 8 times...although I do not know if that's the record.

And he won them all (plus the three fights the two had in boxing).

Fulton also fought Bryan Robinson seven times in MMA and three times in boxing (and won them all), Dan Wheatley six times (with six victories), and Bruce Nelson five times (four wins and a draw).

Ah I love Travis Fulton. Regional can crushing displays where you knock the same guy out two nights in a row aside, most fighters in the big shows don't meet more than once or twice. The trilogy is kind of rare, and generally epic. Couture-Lidell, Stout-Fisher, Maynard-Edgar and Penn-Hughes are the biggest trilogies I can think of.

Edit: I may have missed the point of the thread entirely though. I think who has the most history can be debated.

I can just imagine Rory Prazak in the change room before the eighth fight ...

"This time, this time I can do it, eighth fight lucky, c'mon Rory - you can do this!"

Good on him for trying though.

I don't think rubber matches should happen as much as they do.....one time does it unless their is a belt/controversy involved. Otherwise save that shite for elite fighters in a division with limited alternatives.
