fedor might not have dropped down in weight, but you see much bigger weight/height gaps in the HW division than anywhere else... but it's pretty ridiculous to use Matt Lindland as your main example of the types of fighters he fights...
Mark Hunt: 60 lb weight advantage Semmy Schilt: 1 foot height advantage, 70 lb weight advantage Even fighters like herring and ogawa sport weight advantages that you won't see in other divisions. A heavyweight doesn't necessarily need to drop down to prove he is a great p4p fighter, and fedor has proven that unquestionably.
I don't think that winning this third belt would really warrant moving dan up in p4p rankings, because it's in the same weight division as one of his other belts, I don't think beating rampage alone would warrant a move to #1 p4p fighter. 3 belts is amazing, yeah, but p4p rankings are done based on overall skill, I don't believe anyone can really compare with fedor... it's pretty difficult to picture him losing to any of the heavyweights around now. He's beaten pretty much everyone who is anyone.

How about Couture, Barnett, and now Gonzaga? Dan's my P4P #1 and you won't convince me otherwise until he loses or Fedor dominates one of these three.
Lindland controlled the match, no matter how short of a time, until the "incident." Lindland could have easily won that fight. Of course, Fedor showed Lindland had nothing on the ground for him.

I think it's time to ease of Fedor's nuts a bit.

Dan has Rampage's number. The sooner the fight between the two, the sooner Rampage's "reign" will end. BTW, I like Quinton and I think he's hilarious but he has some serious weaknesses that make him unworthy of the belt IMO.

Fedor will tell everyone when to get off his nuts. Anyone who disagrees gets a kimura.

Exactly, Barnett is the only contender he hasn't beaten who he had the opportunity to fight. The other two you named are in a different organization, one of them wasn't even in the HW division and the other wasn't considered a contender how could he have fought them? Although I'm sure he will soon enough.
Lindland controlled the match? He threw one punch that clearly didn't come close to stunning him, then they clinched... there was no time for him to control anything because his ass got armbarred in under 3 minutes. His only chance to win would've been to open that cut up, and he didn't even grab the ropes he rested his arm on top of them. None of that really addresses the fact that he has clearly proven he's a great p4p fighter by beating people with huge physical advantages over him incredibly convincingly and what should rightly be a perfect record. (Kohsaka's "win" should really be no contest, it was an illegal blow causing stoppage in the first round) For me, fighting someone a foot taller than you and 80 pounds heavier is a lot more impressive than putting on 20 pounds and beating someone the same size as you.

how can you say "the top pride heavyweights look like dog shit" when crocop is the only one who has crossed over and lost? Herring hasn't been considered a top HW for a long time, and Crocop lost one fight. Let's wait and see how BigNog and anyone else who crosses over does. Personally I think PRIDE's HW division was a hell of a lot tougher than the UFC's... Hunt, Nogueira, Fedor, Barnett, Crocop(yes even though he lost one fight, he's still a top10) But there's no point in arguing theoretics, we'll see for sure who the best is sometime in the next year or so.

Mirko's top 5 in most peoples rankings. If one loss (especially in that fashion) causes you to go from legend to dog shit, then I will never come back to this website and i'll quit watching MMA all toghether. I suppose GSP is dog shit to? I can't handle when people have additudes like that. I really just want everyone to fight at the top of their game, that includes Mirko, Fedor, Hunt, Randy, Nog, AA, Tim, everyone and anyone. Then we'll see who the best truly is.

A lot of people here who discredit CC, Fedor, any top fighter, etc. just have a short attention span and only remember the last fight they saw. I mean come on, GG got TKO'd by a non top-10 werdum, and suddenly he's ranked ahead of CC because of ONE lucky night
And to the person that said Pride fighters look like dog shit in the UFC...you're saying fighters that couldn't even make it to the top in Pride (Rampage, A. Silva) are dog shit even though they are champions in the UFC?! If you're not 10 years old, then you're just sad.

That Werdum fight was 4 years ago. I guess GG couldn't get better in 4 years. Should I call you a idiot now?
