CALGARY, Alberta, Canada – Hector Lombard hasn't even had his first fight in the UFC yet, and he's up to four opponents. Sort of.

Lombard (31-2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) originally was set to debut against Brian Stann – and then, perhaps, quickly fight middleweight champion Anderson Silva. The Stann fight fell through. He rebooked against Tim Boetsch (15-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC), whom he fights Saturday at UFC 149.

But on Wednesday, he told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) he wants to fight Mark Munoz next – even if the UFC offers him a title shot with Silva.

"Saturday, I'm focused on this fight," Lombard told MMAjunkie.com after a workout session in Calgary. "And after that, I'm going to call Mark Munoz out. I'm focused on the fight, but I'm going to call out Mark Munoz after. That's my goal.

"I'm going to make a statement no matter what. But after that, I'm going to beat up Mark Munoz."

Lombard said Munoz, who a week ago suffered a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Chris Weidman at UFC on FUEL TV 4, has been running his mouth about him. And that, Lombard said, has rubbed him the wrong way.

"He's been talking a lot of trash about me," said Lombard, the former Bellator middleweight champ. "I'm one of those fighters that I don't like to talk about any fighter. I'm focused on myself. When I see people that do the wrong things, I have to do something about it."

He has to do something about people doing wrong things? Isn't Lombard notoriously terrible in his gym to people he doesn't measure up to his level? I have heard this on multiple occasions.

Wow I sure would like to know what Munoz said for Lombard to want to fight him this bad... Mark is one of the nicest guys in the UFC and I haven't heard him talk crap about anyone before. I'm quite surprised he doesn't want to fight Bisping since Bisping has been pretty vocal about what he thinks about Lombard.

Two incredibly lame call outs in one day. I thought Silva wanting to fight Rockhold was bad, but this is a joke.

Forget fighting the greatest of all time.....

I'd rather fight someone who's never held a title and just got knocked out.

Why would he call out a guy who just lost convincingly in a fight vs another contender?

This makes no sense unless he is afraid he would lose to Silva and ruin his winning streak. Silva offers the better opponent, prestige, challenge, money and the world championship MW belt. Munoz offers an easier fight, lower ranked opponent, less money, less prestige, and a chance to keep his streak alive, but by no means a guaranteed or easy win.

Did he confuse Mark Munoz with Michael Bisping? Bisping has been the one settling into calling Lombard a nobody.

He catches me as one of those guys who doesn't look at the big picture and gets caught in the heat of the moment. He's not calling out Munoz for an easy fight or anything related to the title, it's because he feels disrespected and alk he's seeing is red. It's like back when Donald Cerrone was considered a title contender and he was willing to give it up for a chance to move down in weight and fight Cole Miller.

Everyone's looking at the negative here.

Neither Silva nor Lombard want to fight one another. That's a total win.

iv rolled with Lombard in 2006 on the gold coast when he was 7 and 2 coming off the pride loss to Gegard Mousasi he was there to train with my then coach Daniel Lima who at the time was a top ten Bantamweight

nothing to do with the thread just cool to know someone iv trained with now may have the potential to be ufc champ
