I like the match up. What organization does this take place in? Cage or ring? Japan or USA?

Tito is way to strong for Saku. But then again Saku has took on large opponents before,Randleman, Rampage and won. In the cage Tito would pin him up against the fence and elbow him bad. Id go with Tito, but I wouldnt bet on that fight.

I think Saku's striking becomes a pretty big factor in this fight. I feel his range is superior, and in Tito's prime, his striking was worse than it is right now.
On the ground, Sakuraba's grappling/transitions/reversals were all very, very nice. I can see how that could become a huge factor in nullifying Ortiz's GnP, as the more you open up offensively, the less positional control you maintain.

Great poll/question Pookie! UFC rules, I pick Ortiz. Pride rules, I take Saku. Square-cage-on-top-of-an-active-volcano-in-the-pacific ocean rules.... Wanderlei beats them both

Now we're talking. I'd have to agree with Shawn. I think Tito had such a strong base, that Saku would not be able to lock anything up. Although, it only seemed like Sakuraba had problems with heavy hitters, which Tito was/is not. If it were a fifteen minute fight, I'd go with Tito. I think he'd land some nice gnp once the fight hit the floor. If it were longer, I'd favor Sakuraba. I just envision Tito shooting in sloppily after tiring, and Sakuraba locking something up.

Maybe I'm biased because behind fedor Sakuraba is my favorite fighter.
Id go with saku.
Tito was strong ill give him that but he won with his wrestling ability. That being said Sakuraba is absolutely no slouch on the ground especially in his prime.
Id say it would go to a decision and it would be one of them with a split decision
