In this past week's podcast, Ian "Uncle Creepy" McCall told us that the UFC does not want to match the consensus #3 and #4 fighters in the UFC flyweight division against eachother.
Apparently because McCall is coming off a loss, and Dodson a win; the UFC brass don't see the match-up as one they want. McCall told us that we would take a fight against Louis Gaudinot, the next best flyweight in the UFC.
Obviously, the 125-lb division needs bolstering in the UFC. Kind of disappointed the UFC doesn't want to match Creepy with Dodson.

Could match McCall against Yasuhiro Urushitani.

Well if the UFC see's a problem matching him up against Dodson they'll probably have the same problem with matching him up against Louis Gaudinot since he's coming off a win too. I personally don't see a problem with Uncle Creepy fighting Dodson or Gaudinot but if they want to match up 2 Flyweights that are coming off loses John Lineker might be the guy. He's coming off an exciting loss against Gaudinot.
Or Urushitani like Card said or even Tim Elliott.

If Cariaso wins his fight I think they'll set up Dodson vs Cariaso As for McCall it's a tough one as the division is so limited, you don't want McCall to send Urishanti out of the UFC as he is a top tier fighter Maybe wait till a 135er drops down such as Vaughan Lee/TJ Dillashaw loser

Maybe they want to keep their legitimate contenders in the ballpen. Benevedas will need someone to fight after he beats Mighty Mouse. Both Unlce Creepy and Dodson could be one win from a title shot. Maybe they want to feed them lighter competition (and hope for no upsets) in order to keep both as the next two legitimate challengers.

Right now? No.
They need to add some more fighters, so guys are fighting once and getting a title shot.
I would matchup those two later, though. For no.1 contender if they were in the position.
I knew this was going to be a problem when the UFC created this division, they didn't bring in a lot of support for the division. I think even JoeB said he wanted an 8 man tourney.
