The editor of Tatame is reporting that UFC 147 was watched by 20,000,000 people in Brazil. Tatame went on to say that the event drew a record audience for the stadium, beating even the debut of Soccer superstar Ronaldinho in the city. The event received 16,643 people, the top three public events already held in Brazil.

"UFC 147 surpasses Ronaldinho debut in BH. The event hit 17 points (20 million) on Rede Globo"

The return of the UFC to Brazil now has more new record possibilities including:
• Cezar "Mutante" Ferreira vs. Daniel Sarafian
• Rony Jason vs. Rodrigo Damm
• Vitor Belfort vs. ?
• World Featherweight Champion: Jose Aldo vs. TKZ or Erick Koch
• World Heavyweight Champion: JDS vs. Cain Velasquez

That's incredible! Didn't Dana offer refunds for this card to people who didn't want to come anymore after the card change or am I mistaken?

Damn those are big numbers. And what a card they got to see! Excellent fights from top to bottom for UFC 147. If we had 20 million in North America watching a card of that calibre, imagine what that could do for this sport....

I think we are due for a telivised extravaganza, multiple titles, big names, top contenders... and how about a 3-5 hour time slot? New Year's Eve style, on big Fox, Silva vs Jones
