Quinton Rampage Jackson is a former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, a Pride standout, and one of MMA's biggest stars. But in recent years, he's shown an increasing level of frustration with MMA. From his "retirement" in 2009 to today, Rampage has, at times, looked more focused on his numerous non-MMA projects than his fighting career.

After his UFC 144 upset loss to Ryan Bader, Rampage was very vocal in how he felt he had been mistreated by the UFC, letting a lot of allegations fly against Dana White and Joe Silva and clearly stating: "I don't wanna fight for the UFC no more." With one fight left on his contract, it's very possible the former champion may have just one more Octagon appearance before walking away.

Our SBN colleagues at MMA Mania spoke to Rampage about that final fight, and his comments showed his continued frustration:

Brian Hemminger (MMAmania.com): This is the last fight in your contract. Are you concerned at all that [the UFC] might try to bury you like they did with Arlovski in the last fight of his contract?

Quinton Jackson: Actually, I wouldn't care if they did that. I don't care. They can do whatever they want to do. The reasons I made the decision to leave the UFC are the same reasons I left Pride. They can do what they want. I don't care.

They tried to give him the easiest fight of his life in the place he wanted to fight and he blew it on every level.

They should make him fight Jones again.

I think they should give him Bonnar

Rampage is a very stale opponent right now not mixing it up, Bonnars 3-0 with a pretty large fan base and is a well known name, If I was Bonnar I'd be screaming for this fight - very winnable and a huge chance to have, finally, a big name under his belt.

Dude....Rampage peaked and lost his passion to fight after he finally knocked out Wanderlei.

I'm not saying he had it at any point recently, I'm just saying any fan's hope for a win should have been gone after that pathetic showing against Ryan Bader.

Rampage hasn't wanted to fight since A-Team. Anybody under the misconception that he would've been afforded that opportunity without the UFC? I'm far from saying that he's washed up or doesn't have it anymore...I think guys just figured out that if you want to make him look like a b-lister then you take him down and hold him there. The Glover fight would be fun until they exchanged for a second and Glover decided it was time to take Rampage down and RNC or Guillotine him.

unmotivated Rampage still beats lower tier fighters on points. Once he wins and says goodbye to the UFC, I would like to see him fight at Heavyweight, against guys like Arloski/Fedor smaller Heavyweights. Then he doesn't have to worry about weight and we can see exciting fights.

Whatever he want's to do War Rampage!

Rampage used to be one of my favorite mma personalities. Now I would prefer not to hear anything about him.

I have to agree with you Budge, the guy just doesn't have much to contribute to a the fight game let alone a conversation

It's sad to see an icon fall from grace like this. If only Ice Cube had gotten the A- Team role...
