Former Ultimate Fighter competitor Dustin Pague will look to make the ‘Chris Leben move’ when he steps into another fight just 2 weeks following his last fight in the Octagon.

An injury to Francicso Rivera has opened up a spot on next weekend’s UFC on FX 4 card, so Pague has accepted the chance to face Ken Stone in Atlantic City.

Pague follows in the footsteps of Chris Leben, who did almost the exact same thing when he was victorious in a bout against Aaron Simpson and then returned two weeks later to face Yoshihiro Akiyama.

Leben went on to defeat Akiyama as well and Pague hopes for the same kind of success.

Pague probably more fresh than Leben, though. But, still crazy.

So the UFC couldnt find any bantamweight at all?....it seems to me that choosing a fighter to fill in after fighting 1 week ago would be a last resort...then again I havent run down the line to see what bw's would be available...then again maybe im just an idiot

Pague was the best choice. He's still in shape with no injuries and confidence at an all time high. He's better suited than someone whose can only prepare a week in advance.

I also see this as a way the UFC can build an up and comer at a faster rate, seeing if they have something

Interesting .

However the only problem i have with this kind of thing is fighters using the circumstance as to why they lost. If and when that happens of course.

Either way it still makes them look good in the UFCs eyes

Wait a minute fellow interwebbers....the title is misleading.....if Dustin pulled a Leben wouldn't he have 5 DUI's

he didnt have a super tough fight last week so i think he'll do fine. the good part for him is another payday, another chance to prove he belongs, and with taking a fight on early notice even if he loses they more than likely wont hold it against him. good for him
