[...]if he fights Rua, Hendo will submitt Rua in the 3rd

You obviously haven't seen Henderson fight.
You obviously haven't seen Shogun fight too ... His ground game is far better than Hendo's one .

How anyone can say that Sherk will not be the Champ at the end of the year? Barring an upset and the past few months have shown that.
Sherk might be the most underrated MMA figher out there.
31-2-1 is no joke. 2 loses to Hughes(decision) and GSP (KO). In not his real weight class.
He has beaten Karo (twice) and Gamburyan (My pick to be TUF5 winner).
Franca will be a tough fight, but when he beats him, I PRAY, that UFC gets Gomi over here and Sherk will RIP him a new one. Just take a look at what Diaz did to him.

Sherk is amazing, and he should beat Franca, but Franca has some dangerous ground skills, but so did KenFlo.
Back to the topic.
Heavyweight Champion: Gabriel Gonzalez Light Heavyweight Champion: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (Should be his last fight of the year after Hendo) Middleweight: Rich "Ace" Franklin Welterweight: Matt "The Terra" Serra Lightweight: Sean "The Muscle Shark" Sherk (he will beat Hermes and take 6 months off probably)
Next year 'll say I dunno by May here is what the list may look like Heavyweight; Fedor Light Heavyweight: Wanderlei Silva Middleweight: Evan Tanner (Call me crazy, or just bias) Welterweight: Karo Parsyian Lightweight: Sean Sherk

Heavyweight: Gonzaga or Fedor(as long as he signs). Fedor will get pushed into the main event quickly ala Dan Henderson.
Light Heavyweight: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Seeing as how Henderson is likely his last fight for 07.
Middleweight: Nate Marquardt. I think the winner of the Silva/Marquardt match up will be champ until 08' when they will have to face a Filho or Kang. As of right now I see Nate doing it.
Welterweight: Matt Hughes. He should beat Serra and won't defend again until Early 08'
Lightweight: BJ Penn. Seeing as how winner of the TUF Finale pretty much gets a title shot. I think Penn wins that and then faces winner of Sherk/Franca late in the year and takes the title he always wanted.
If you think about it. title shots are all aligned already for the rest of the year and early next year.
HW: Gonazaga, Fedor if he signs soon enough, Arlovski, Cro Cop. LHW: Hendo, maybe Rashad or Liddell, Shogun, Wandy. MW: Franklin WW: Hughes, GSP, Karo, Fitch LW: Penn/Pulver, Stevenson, Huerta, Griffin.

" Hell yeah! The shit has healing powers. I would recommend pot for any fighter. Especially the ones that drink. You can’t get bombed and expect to be 100% the next day but if you had a joint you would be 110%. Most of those fucking guys are popping Vicodin and drinking and before you know it they’re crashing."

Heavyweight: Couture (after beating both Gonzaga, and Cro Cop, Fedor never gets signed.)
Light Heavyweight: Rampage (after beating Henderson, and likely rematching, and beating Liddell)
Middleweight: Franklin (He gets past Silva, to regain the belt.)
Welterweight: Hughes (unless the winner of Koscheck/GSP gets a immediate fight after Serra/Hughes, then Hughes will go into 08' with the belt.)
Lightweight: Penn (Beats Pulver, who goes to WEC, and loses to Faber, and then retires, then Penn beats Sherk)

I would pick GSP for WW but I don't think he'll get a shot this year since Serra and Hughes don't fight until november.

Heavyweight- Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira/ Gabriel Gonzaga Light Heavyweight- Quinton Jackson Middleweight- Anderson Silva Welterweight-BJ Penn(Wishful Thinking, but he WILL do it by end of 08)/ Matt Hughes Lightweight- Din Thomas/Joachim Hansen
I've multiple picks in the divisions where I feel like matchmaking decisions or there being multiple viable contenders make it difficult to pick one definite guy.
Edit: Had to give props to BJ, if he stays focused he'll have a strap again by the time his contracts up.
