It wouldn't bother me if I never saw him fight again.

He really needs a legit psychological exam and get a proper diagnosis. Either he's just totally insane, or he has some legit affliction....anxiety and agoraphobia?

I don't know how this one can even be defended.

Skipping an event is bad.
Skipping an event that was going to benefit a charity is really bad.

The respect I have for the guy as a fighter is unwavering, he's one of the very best in the world.

The lack of respect I have for him as a person continues to grow each time does anything that makes the MMA news rounds. It's a shame. Great fighter, less than stellar person.

Lame. Like really. When you commit to something, you show up - not blaming rule changes or not having read the fine-print on the contract. The charity aspect of it just makes it even worse.

It's hard to defend, since according to all the reports everyone still thought he was going to show up and was just being 'late'. I don't get that - even if he had a legit excuse. Was it too much to call them up ahead of time and let them know instead of just doing a no-show and letting everyone sweat it? Sorry, it's pretty hard to defend or explain that move away.

Diaz is a great fighter but he sucks as a adult. It's no shocker Diaz no showed, he has a long history of no showing. Just this is the first time ever no showed for a match.

I am not going to condone what Nick did but I would bet he didn't show because his opponent totally disrespected him by having weight cutting issues. Nick's no show should not have affected any donations either. Anyone who bought a ticket or paid for the PPV did so without knowing that Nick wouldn't show...no money was lost....so there should be no issues with the donation to the children's fund. Nick is Nick....and when he feels disrespected he does what he does. Personally I feel Nick has been disrespected an awful lot by the MMA world....including the MMA judges. Like I said though....I won't condone what he did but if you disrespect someone....you can't expect them to be happy or to even comply with anything previously agreed upon. Nick is one of my favorite fighters....but I do feel he could use some counseling from a trained professional. He has severe anger issues and to put it mildly....he is a tad bit paranoid. I think he needs to lay off the "chronic"....it is messing him up.

Estima made weight.

I am interested in seeing what happened behind the scenes. Diaz alleged that the promoter's promise to donate Diaz's purse to charity was a scam, so I will wait to see how this all plays out with Cesar Gracie's statement tomorrow and whether there's any proof behind Nick Diaz's claims.

All I can say is this is going to make it that much more difficult for Diaz to come back to the ufc if and when he chooses to do so.

I can see Dana shaking his head in utter frustration when he heard the news.
