Former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal has a new home. Bellator and TNA Wrestling executives have set a conference call for 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT) today to announce a "major talent deal." It's the signing of Lawal (8-1), who will split his time between MMA (Bellator) and pro wrestling (TNA) once healed from a knee injury. Terms of the deal are expected to be announced during the media call. Spike TV airs TNA Wrestling, and Bellator moves to the cable channel in 2013.

I hate seeing pro wrestling being in the same sought of deals with MMA companies, makes MMA seem fake in my opinion. Business is business I guess...

I can understand where you are coming from, but it really helps both sides, Mo can draw some MMA fans to watch him in TNA, while he can draw some TNA fans to watch Bellator.

It keeps him happy on both sides.

I don't like hearing MMA and PW in the same sentence.

God forbid the guy try to capitalize on his talents as an entertainer as well as a mixed martial artist. People are acting like this is the first time the two sports have ever crossed streams. Let's not act like Cro Cop, Barnett, Saku, Severn, and countless others haven't dipped into pro wrestling.
Mo has been under a ton of scrutiny due to the drostanolone incident, out of the cage remarks, and the like, but the guy has to make a living and I think this is a great move on his part.

MMA has gottenTONS of talent from pro wrestling over the years, especially from Japan, so I don't have a problem with MMA talent going over to pro wrestling.

I don't have a big problem with him doing both, but pro wrestling is not a sport and I think it takes his focus away from actual training. Also if he's trying to rehab injuries pro wrestling can be really hard on the body. I think it's a bad move for his MMA career but he does need to make that money. I hope it works out for him though the guy's had a rough year.

He defiantly will add some much needed talent to bellator's LHW division and I can even see him becoming champ but this TNA business is a joke

Personally i love it. Good on King Mo.
He's opened up a whole world of opportunity for a lot of MMA fighters with this move.
