August's UFC on FOX 4 lineup has added a pair of heavyweight fights.
They include Matt Mitrione (5-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC), who looks to rebound from his first career loss when he meets British fighter Rob Broughton (15-7-1 MMA, 1-2 UFC), as well as English fighters Oli Thompson (9-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) vs. Phil De Fries (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC).
UFC officials today confirmed the matchups.
UFC on FOX 4 takes place Aug. 4 at Los Angeles' Staples Center. The main card, including a Brian Stann vs. Hector Lombard headliner, airs on FOX. Today's new additions are likely to be part of the preliminary card, which is expected to air on FUEL TV and stream on Facebook.

I like both match ups. Mitrione is a solid prospect that needs to pick up a win badly after that last fight. This is where he'll do that. And Thompson vs. De Fries could very well be a loser leaves town match up.

Not a lot to gain from a fight he is expected to win imo.

I normally would disagree here. But since Carwin has been inactive for so long, it would make sense to match him up with a guy like Mitrione. Otherwise it would be dumb to let Mitrione move ahead in competition after losing to Kongo.
