Why kill the promotion when you can still get exciting match-ups like this?

According to MMAFighting.com, Roger Gracie will make his middleweight debut later this year against Keith Jardine at a July Strikeforce event that is still without a date or location, though Portland, Oregon is apparently a leading contender.

A 185-pound championship bout pitting titleholder Luke Rockhold against Tim Kennedy is expected to headline the event.

Gracie makes the drop down in weight following his first career loss in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition last September, a knockout defeat at the hands of Muhammed Lawal at the "Barnett vs. Kharitonov" event in Cincinnati.

Personally I really like this match-up... I feel Jardines TDD is one of the most underated in MMA, Gracie is gonna struggle to win this fight, if he wants to win it had best bring power punches. As we saw if you even try and fight Jardine technically, its very hard to do, as Mousassi found, you have to bring one punch KO power. I reckon Jardine will embarrass him here.

Jardine has pretty good TDD and should be able to win

Roger's standup against Prangley was so much improved from his previous fight, I can only imagine he'll continue learning at a very quick pace.

Jardine looked really bad at Middleweight in his debut. It seems like a really tough cut for him to make. Hopefully he's figured it out a little more for this fight.

My bet... Jardine gets KOed in the first round. Doesn't matter who he fights.

I like this fight for Jardine, but only because 1. he might not get koed for once and 2. He still has the best nickname in mma. I think if I ever fought my nickname would have to be "The Boss of Sauce"

I say it is time to finally kill the promotion so we don't have to see fights like this.

BORING.
