Maybe the third time will be the charm for Roy Nelson at UFC 146.

Originally set to face Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva on the card in May, Nelson lost that opponent when main event fighter Alistair Overeem was pulled from the show and reshuffling had to take place.

In his place, Gabriel Gonzaga stepped in to face Nelson. Well now Gonzaga is also out due to injury so in steps former Sengoku fighter Dave Herman who faces Nelson at UFC 146.

UFC officials announced the switch on Tuesday night.

Damn, that sucks. I was hoping to see Big Country vs. Gonzaga. Decent replacement though. It should be a good fight.

I think this fight might turn out to be more exciting than Roy and Gabe. It's pretty nice that their talent pool at HW is deep enough to keep the main card all HW fights considering all the changes. It's a good period in heavyweight MMA.

Normally I would agree, but the last 2-3 times I picked country I got burned. He could definitely put peewee out with that big overhand right.

I'm glad that Gabriel & Roy aren't fighting...yet. That is one of those fights where it's hard for me to get hype because I really don't want to see either guy lose right now.

Musical chairs for the HWs. I think Big Country will do just fine. He will plod ahead, mullet in the breeze and eventually knock Herman out...of course after taking mounds of punishment from Herman. Big Country just keeps comin'!!!!

Roy should be able to get him to the ground and pound him out.
