Two notable light heavyweights will clash in a summer showdown.
Former UFC champion Lyoto Machida (17-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) and onetime-surging contender Ryan Bader (14-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) have agreed to meet on the network-televised UFC on FOX 4 fight card.
UFC officials today passed along news of the fight from the Brazilian outlet esporte.ig.com.br.

Bader is in some serious trouble this fight.
I personally think Machida is a bad match up for Bader

I agree, but I completely counted out Bader against Rampage, even though this fight is quite different, I'm not going to count out Bader completely just yet

I didn't see this one coming. Good fight. It'll be tough for Bader to pull this off.

Unless Bader can get it down or land a good punch, going to be tough, but does have some of the tools to win.

Everyone thinks this is a bad matchup for Bader, but I see this the other way around. If Bader catches ahold of Machida, he could drag him down and negate Machida's supreme stand up game. Counter striking styles work better against strikers than wrestlers.

Machida has sick take down defense and most guys aren't lucky enough to even get their hands on him for long enough to attempt a take down, that is why its a bad match up for Bader. I wouldn't be surprised if Bader doesn't get a single takedown wich forces him to stand with Machida. I don't think he will get outclassed but he very well could chase Lyoto around all fight trying to land those big hey makers he throws only to get countered the whole time.

Machida will make Bader shoot in for thin air and then get counterd by some combo's from Machida..this should be a decision win for Machida as i think he'll play it extra safe after what happend in his last match..
