Ok, who saw the fight last night? That was a barnburner! Sicilia looked like he woke up as he was faceplanting from that kick that landed to the back of his head.

I don't even know how I would score the first round. The second was pretty damn close too. Overall, I thought Sicilia landed more takedowns/trips, sub attempts, and he dropped/rocked Saunders multiple times. He seemed to be pressing the action in striking range, and I'd say the striking was in his favor by a narrow margin.

On the other hand, Saunders got some good combos off, and definitely put a hurting on Sicilia. He had his takedowns, and got Sicilia's back, albeit briefly. And while I thought Sicilia might have controlled the striking narrowly, the clinch work was very close by the end of the fight, potentially going to Saunders.

Anyhow, crazy fight! I don't know how I would have scored it, especially with Sicilia almost getting taken out Abe Lincoln style with that head kick. I would have liked a third round

We were talking about this back in the camp discussions last night.

IMO, the fight needed a third round, but if I HAD to choose a winner, it would be Sicilia. Saunders knocked Sicilia clean out with the head kick, but Silcia recovered and Saunders didn't come close to a finish after that. On the other hand, Silicia wobbled Saunder's legs 3 or 4 times and won almost all the exchanges after the kick.

All in all, it was a great fight! One of my favorites from TUF.

Also, does Silicia's style remind anyone else of Leonard Garcia? lol

Fantastic fight and if neither makes it to the finals I'd love to see a rematch at the finale. I had it a round a piece but if I had to choose one I would have went with Saunders.

Coming out in the first Sicilia definitely was winning.
However when Saunders started landing those knees and a few leg kicks it started going in Saunders favor. He clinched the otherwise close first with the knockdown.

Round two started even but a very close round towards the middle. Sicilia won the round with the knockdown IMO. But I am not surprised the judges gave it to Saunders. Even after the knockdown he never stopped throwing. At the end of the round where he started dropping elbows is where I think he won the judges over for sure.

Also Saunders got the back of Sicilia multiple times. Eventhough he couldn't capitalize and Sicilia reversed him he got back to his feet fairly quickly.

A close fight that I really enjoyed that should have gone to the third.

Sicilia will be back. He throws some damn haymakers

I thought Saunders edged round one and Sam clearly won round 2. Just my opinion though. Saunders was on the receiving end of A LOT of clean shots in that 2nd round. That fight absolutely deserved a 3rd round.

Saunders took the first.

Maybe the second, lot of back and forth and guys switching from bottom to top. There was a period where Saunder was on top for a bit towards the end, maybe that sealed it for some of the judges.

Forget the fight...Ronda Rousey in spandex and stilletto heels...yum yum.

I echo the sentiments of most, I was a bit surprised when Saunders' hand was raised, but clearly it was close.

Good idea about the finale really deserved a third round. Also, Rousey should be a permanent part of the show
