UFC officials today confirmed Hioki will meet Ricardo Lamas (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) at UFC in FX 4, which takes place takes place June 22 at Revel Atlantic City in Atlantic City, N.J. The night's main card airs on FX, and FUEL TV is expected to carry the prelims.
"Many pegged Hioki as the next possible challenger for Jose Aldo's title, but he wants one more test before going for the belt," White said. "In his way is Lamas, who has proven to be a tough competitor for anyone to deal with, especially since moving down to featherweight and finishing both opponents at 145 pounds. Both guys have verbally agreed to the match."

I know I'm a bit baffled too. I guess it's pretty unlikely we will see Aldo fight on the 147 card then

Yuri has no upcoming fight. A contender.
Unless Aldo is going to fight a winner of a fight.
Jung vs DDP
Or this fight Hioki/Lamas.

Woah, this one shocked me. I just came on to post it.
If jeans is correct I personally do like the fight but Koch is definitely not ready yet.

I just saw too about Koch.
That's even more shocking than this matchup.
Don't see how Koch jumps over Hioki or Yuri.
I'd put Koch against Lamas and Hioki vs Aldo.

So they should pull a Kenny Florian again?
Florian dropped down beat Nunes and got a title shot.
I was and would be opposed to that.

This means that Aldo has to be fighting Edgar. Hatsu Hioki is the second best fighter in that weight class right now and the only reason to overlook him is if Edgar is getting the title shot. I think that is the only way to make up for Silva vs Sonnen being off the Brazil card is to put Edgar-Aldo. Hopefully Hioki takes care of business and can get his shot after.

Man, Koch vs. Aldo might be the least engaging title fight since Anderson/Leites, based on how the mismatch looks on paper. What would the odds be on Koch?
