The past couple years have been like an emotional roller coaster for UFC bantamweight Mark Hominick.

After a five-fight winning streak was snapped with back-to-back losses inside the cage, Hominick dealt with tragedy outside it when longtime mentor Shawn Tompkins passed away, only to run the opposite side of the emotional spectrum when his daughter was born.

With everything that’s happened, Hominick told MMAWeekly.com that it’s imperative to him to place his feelings aside and focus on fighting’s endgame.

I really hope Mark wins here. Between he, Stout and Hordecki, they're 0-3-1 since Thompon's death. These three need to find a new camp.

Fingers crossed for Hominick... After putting up such a great fight when he faced Aldo, I would really like to see him get a win here and get people talking about him again.

I actually found that last 7-second fight of his was harder to watch than the one where he was growing the horror-hematoma.

Yes, it's been painful for my fellow Adrenaline boys since Shawn's death, even tho they should technically be 2-2 cuz the draw with Chris was a total joke and Sammy got robbed against Tavares cuz it was in Brazil IMO.

Well said Doll, I was there live at both of his fights for 129 and 140 and there was no worse feeling than having to witness that 7 second debacle...especially when the crowd was so electrifying in round 5 against Aldo.
