I know there are a lot of guys who like Rashad, and I do too, so my opinion won't be very popular, but I think it's a win that isn't that difficult for Jones. The only area I see Evans having an advantage is possibly being able to take Jones down. I say possibly because 1.) Jones is a pretty good wrestler himself. 2.) Jones is very good at controlling distance through strikes making his stay on the outside. When Evans has to shoot from a further distance it will give Jones a little bit more time to attempt the stuff. And even if he does take Jones down Evans isn't a ground and pound specialist but Jones has some good chokes. Striking a give a clear advantage to Jones . I posted article on it.

Everyone says if Jones keeps it standing... or uses his distance... or if Rashad uses his wrestling... or gets inside... ok we get it if a fighter can play to his strengths - he will win.
Rashad fought heavyweight which means having to overcome reach is not something new.
People bring up Machida again and again, Machida is not the same fighter he was when he fought Rashad, since losing he has lost a bit of his thunder... remember when Machida was UNBEATABLE, no one could figure him out...
People are always unbeatable until someone does.
i like Jon (i have him on my avatar) but with all that said I have Rashad winning by putting hands on JJ and putting him on his back, both which has not been done and/or with any consistency through out his career in the UFC.

Rashad should fight Jones the same way he fought Liddel. Dance, utilize the cage, and shadow box. Lure Jones into pursuing him and when the opportunity presents itself, shoot for the take down.
I don't know if anyone else sees it but I think Jones does a lot of immature and random moves when he's fighting....and he's not doing it out of calculation or because he's good. He is doing it out of anxiety, instinct, and habit. The moves Jones has displayed in the octagon are usually executed by fighters who are overwhelmed with the pressures of not being able to control the fight. Those moves are desperation attempts to make something happen - and the only reason why Jones has been able to get away with it is because of his ridiculous reach advantage.
I have said it numerous times - I personally feel Jones is a VERY average fighter. The good things he does are: 1. Wrestling 2. Utilizing his reach 3. He listens well to his coach
There is nothing more to Jones than those three things.
The bad things he does are: 1. Wild moves 2. He cannot maintain his anxiety which explains the wild moves. 3. Weak mentality. He gets broken easily. ( see Machida fight ) 4. Weak standup
The future of the Light Heavy Weight Division is certainly not Jones. He is still young so there will be plenty of time left in his career - for him to meet his match.
As far as this coming up fight - physically, Rashad is too small for Jones but stylistically, Rashad has Jones' number. Will it work out in Rashad's favor? I don't know - but I like his chances.
