What a clusterfuck.
It's all legal depending where you fall in the gray area and it's all illegal depending where you fall in the gray area. There's nothing done wrong that's black & white and the NSAC gets to decide if gray is black and white.
This should be overseen by 3rd parties; the AC's handling these things are horrible for the sport as they do what they want regardless.

Just legalize hemp and tax the shit out of it, the country would be so much wealthier if we didnt ban the #1 cash crop.

It could be legal for everyday use and still a banned substance for fighting.

You mean commissions could still claim it's performance enhancing even though in this hypothetical scenario hemp is legal...that'd be bullshit but hypothetically possible I suppose... It seems like Dana doesn't have a problem with the smoking since he doesnt see it as performance enhancing as do many of us. In a recent video, he was saying it doesn't matter what he thinks (which sounded like he was as indifferent to fighters using it as testosterone) but that he favored TRT use because it was technically legal.
But then again in Cali and other state Nick Diaz would be allowed to have it medically, just not in MMA because its federally illegal, but if it wasnt? Who knows, probably not, why call it performance enhancing when its not? Sounds like a bad copout to make it sound bad. On top of that it's okay to have testosterone in MMA when its clearly performance enhancing... but you cant abuse it...go figure... that makes no sense, especially since hemp was legal until the 50s and it never killed or hurt anyone and is only illegal because of the smear campaigns against it from the timber industry because hemp was going to take over the timber/paper industry.. while TRT is for guys who probably abused the juice and need to make up for later in their career..borderline cheating if you ask me... (even Dana sort of admitted to this).

Welcome to the wonderful world of administrative agency law, where the prosecutor is also the judge and jury.
