Verbal agreement has been reached for Michael Bisping to meet Tim Boetsch at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas.
Boetsch has been calling for a fight with Bisping since his win over Yushin Okami at UFC 144 and he appears to have been granted his wish.
"Bisping's name has been on my agenda for a long time," Boetsch said recently.

This match is very interesting. It's one of those where my head is telling me one thing and my heart another. I think that Boetsch definitely poses some threats to Bisping, but overall, Michael is a far superior fighter. I hope that Boetsch can get in close and use those throws as well as his great strike angles in the clinch.

I remember listening to a Boetsch either before or after his fight with Nick Ring saying that out of anybody else at 185 he'd want to fight Bisping - but knew that at the time he probably was popular enough or had enough of a resume to do so.
Looks like he has that chance now, lets see what he can do. Bisping however is incredibly well rounded so it should be tough fight for him.

I agree Bisping is the better and more polished fighter but I do believe he will suffer the same fate as Okami.

Would rather have seen Bisping v Munoz which makes more sense and had Boetsch face Weidman but if Munoz isn't ready yet, then I suppose this is the fight that made the most sense. Agree that Bisping is the technically superior fighter but so was Okami and look what happened to him. Would love to see Bisping get knocked out the way Okami was being the prick that he is. I suppose the winner will receive a title shot as well..

This is an awesome fight. I am envisioning a very comfortable Bisping getting caught with the big bomb later in the fight...or perhaps single arm spiked across the cage

Okami has a better chin than Bisping...
Even so, Bisping decision looks like the most likely outcome.

Bisping is a far better striker than Okami and wouldn't allow Boetsch to bullrush him swinging wildly to connect. His angles are far better and doesnt back straight up like Okami did.
Bisping UD all day

Exactly what I say...plus a win doesn't do anything for Bisping.
