ufcjunkie.com reports that Mauricio Shogun Rua has signed with the UFC and will take part in the lackluster UFC 72 card giving it instant credibility.

Alll I can say is WOW, YES and I can't wait to see Shogun vs. Chuck.

If its true, this is a blessing and a curse, we will get to see Shogun kick a whole lot more ass, but we wont get to see revenge against Henderson.

I can't imagine how they will put Shogun on that card so soon. They'd have to replace the main event and everything. Would be awesome to see him in the cage so soon though.

Just the ink on the contract is great frickin news!

thats great news but i think the ufc 72 card is already full unless all events outside the US have 10 fights on the card. i would like to see shogun fight michael bisping since they havent named his opponent yet.

Shogun + UFC = Good

Can't wait to see how Shogun will fair against the likes of UFC fighters. Please prove that the Pride fighters really arn't just all hyped up.

this really is no surprise. UFC is gonna keep signing more and more top fighters from pride and phase it out....then once a lot of the good fighters are gone and the ratings go down Dana and the fertitis are gonna announce a merger due to the lack of ratings of PRIDE.....

It said he may participate in UFC 72! I dont understand how it would happen, as theres less than a month to go, and the fight cards already announced!
