UFC president Dana White plans to do little in response to Quinton Rampage Jackson's threat to quit the UFC, insisting the light-heavyweight is merely an emotional character.

Not for the first time in his career, Jackson threatened to walk away from the UFC on Monday when he claimed his next fight will be his last.

Rampage previously stated after defeat to Jon Jones that he would pursue a career in boxing, but returned to the Octagon to fight Ryan Bader - a bout he lost via unanimous decision.

Let him walk, he hasn't put on a decent showing since UFC 92.

RADIO EDIT....let me clarify, he hasn't shown up to fight since UFC 92.

Yeah, but even his win against Wanderlai was kinda a giving at that point of Silva's career. Rampage just simply hasn't evolved enough to stay competitive.

Hindsight is 20/20, Wanderlei was a 2-1 favorite.

To be expected.

I'm sure Dana has a bunch of other stuff to worry about.

Wasn't really hindsight for me, I picked Rampage to win. All I did was look at where Rampage was at that moment and where Wanderlei was and I could tell Rampage was gonna be the stronger of the 2. Of course I didn't expect him to Knock him out so violently that Silva convulsed on the canvas just minutes into the fight, but a wins a win

He's toast, it's time for him to move on. I don't think his heart is in it, his crappy performances (and coming in overweight) seem to show a lack of work ethic. He lost pretty every second of the Bader fight, aside from dropping Bader on his noggin.

Forget him. I'm sick of him as a character and as a fighter. Quit making threats and do something. Go take the "Pride Rampage" into the boxing ring where people will let you punch them, maybe even fight Kimbo. Or better yet go back to making shity movies. You shamed Mr. T Rampage, you shamed hm hard

Damn you all....that's a LOT of hater-aide for a fighter who has done as much as he has for the sport! I personally feel for the dude, in over ten years he has missed weight a total of one time. He has fought only the best opponents available and is very rarely finished. Sure he is a shell of the fighter he was three years ago but seriously I saw less hate for Cro Cop and Liddell who went out in a much worse way than Rampage. Let's not forget Randy left the sport with a record barely over 50%. Still not a lot of guys willing to stand and bang with Rampage.

First it's not the missing weight that has anything to do with it. It's his attitude towards fighting and his lackluster performances where all he does is wait for an opportunity to land a hook or an uppercut or something.

You can't compare Rampage's situation right now with the likes of Cro Cop, Liddell or Randy. Those guys were DEDICATED, and could have left any time they wanted, but they got in the gym every day, they trained their asses off and kept getting in the cage looking to hurt someone. I mean fuck Liddell wanted to fight after getting his brain rattled how many times in a row? Not to mention they were all at least 5 years older than he is now when they finally left.

I would honestly like him more if he showed the heart of all those guys you mentioned and lost as opposed toshowing up for a cheque and a boxing match

i dont hate Rampage. i hate his lack of heart & his unwillingness to evolve his game.

only times Ramp made me me angry at him personally was

1. the stupid maniac truck incident
2. the Rashad fight. how you gonna hype up a fight for that long & look SO bad. shouldve finished him in the 3rd & couldnt.
