Over at Tatame, Guilherme Cruz reports that the UFC is about to agree upon terms with Hacran Dias (20-1-1), yet another superb Nova Uniao prospect at the lighter weights.
Hacran "Barnabe" Dias is the current Shooto South America champion 65 kg (143 lbs) and last defended that title in December of 2011 with a victory over Paulo Dantas by submission. Dias has been very much on the radar of matchmakers and prospect-trackers due to his package of skills and his affiliation with the highly regarded Nova Uniao camp.
Dias was anointed the overall #1 featherweight prospect (without a contract with a major MMA organization) in Leland Roling and Smoogy's 2012 Scouting Report. Dias essentially looks to bring his opponents to the ground with fairly good wrestling and top of the line submission skills. Several times, he has finished opponents with strikes, which shows a growing competence with that phase of the game, but still looks to employ his strongest ground fighting skill package in fights.
Jose Aldo is rumored to be very close to Dias along with Eduardo Dantas, the current Bellator Season Five bantamweight tournament champion. A fight between Aldo and Dias is not likely, yet there is room in the division for both to have plenty of opponents to battle. If this signing goes through, the UFC featherweight division just got harder to walk through in order to get that belt.

I've seen this guy fight and he's pretty damn good.
I would like to see him in the UFC . Just a matter of time I guess
