Tim Sylvia had an interview where he said he would be willing to fight in the UFC for what they used to pay him. He also mentioned he'd like to retire in the UFC...but I guess everyone does right?
The more I think about it, the more I say give him 1 fight in the UFC to see how he can handle himself with the new breed of fighters

God he's really begging for a contract. I guess that's easier than losing weight and winning relevant fights.

Has anybody been paying attention to Sylvia's Twitter?
It is an the most desperate and embarrassingly pitiful exercise in begging I have seen come from any fighter. I really hope Dana White and company put him back on the big stage, just so a grown man can quit it.
Tim Sylvia @timsylviamma @CollinGemini02 I never talked shit about the UFC. And do regret leaving 100 percent

He needs to let his fighting do the talking instead of him actually talking.
Maybe he should try Bellator.

I still think he could be champ, but I don't want to see him fight. His fights tended to be bland and the current hw division is really exciting. If the current hw division were fireworks he would be the bucket of water you could dip them in.

When Tim fought Frank Mir and Frank broke his arm and Tim and was still wanting to fight and not quit, well that said volumes to me about his guts. Give him a one shot or even two shot deal and then he can either retire or if he proves himself, Dana can give him a new contract.

lol. Ciesnolevicz tweeted Tim who he thought would win between TIMMAY & Vinny Magalhes
Tim said, "Who is that?
Vinny responded, " I'd submit you in 10 seconds & have you wondering what the hell happened just like the Mercer fight"
i'd rather see Vinny than Timmay!

He's looking for one more solid payday before retirement IMO. He's not relevant in the UFC, but he is a name, and he still has some hardcore fans from his days as champion. He'll probably take fight in the UFC and retire if he loses.

Of course he is willing to work for his old pay rate, even that is several times more than the pitiful ammount he is getting from third rate organizations now. And naturally he is regretting ever leaving the UFC, he took a gamble and chose to jump ship for a big payday but with no long term stability. He rolled the dice on Affliction and his own ability but lost on both fronts.
As soon as he lost to Mercer, he lost any hope of ever returning to the UFC. Balooning up in weight until he looked like the Michelin Man didn't help his image either. To put it simply he is damaged goods and doesn't belong in the UFC anymore and after both he and Arlovski left the UFC high and dry, Dana has no reason to give either of them a damn thing.

I think the UFC should give him another shot but if they don't I think you will soon see Sylvia with a sign saying "will fight in the UFC for food".....and then eventually he will cross out the UFC part and the sign will read "will fight for food". Come on Tim....have you no shame or dignity?
