“What makes this a big fight? It’s just two men going off to war, we fight for a large amount and we’ve danced this dance before. I’ve been in this predicament several times before, so what makes this a big fight? Millions of people are gonna be watching us, but it’s just gonna be me, him, and the referee inside that cage.”- Quinton Jackson

Chuck needs to be shut up? He's not exactly the most boisterous fighter out there.

I understand wanting the underdog to win, but it always surprises me when people want to see Chuck humbled.

I wouldn't go as far as calling Rampage an underdog in the fight.

rampage is at about +240
iceman is at about -300

The odds makers think rampage is the underdog. This fight is far from even money. The odds say Chuck is a clear favorite, but I don't think this fight is that cut and dry. I think its a lot closer then the odds make it out to be.

The smart money is on Rampage at this point, but the smarter money is as far from this fight as possible. I would take all the money you are tempted to bet on this fight and put it in a 401K. The stock market has been doing well and this fight is a coin flip.

Chucks obviously gona be the book makers favourite, jackson isnt really that well known, and didnt look to impressive the first time he was exposed. As for wanting to see chuck shut up, i cant understand this, its not like he ever bad mouths anybody that doesnt do it to him first, and hes got every reason to beleive in himself, his record speaks for itself.

Not that you would know this, but whenever I refer to someone as a favorite or an underdog, I always refer to their betting odds.

You always have an underdog and a favorite in any fight. Well, almost. I think both Werdum and Arlovski were betting line favorites. Even then, though, the one giving the better (in terms of pay out) of the lousy odds is your underdog.

I wholly endorse this advice.

Really tough fight to call... I don't think rampage has looked as impressive since suffering some of the most brutal losses in his career. The rampage that fought marvin eastman didn't look like the same rampage that was picking ricardo arona up above his head and slamming him unconscious to the mat, along with many others. Granted he did say that he was nervous fighting in north america for the first time and he probably wanted to make sure that he won his first fight in the UFC, so maybe he was just playing it a bit more cautious than normal.

I think chuck will probably take this one, but it should be a good fight no matter what happens. They should've given rampage a few more matches before throwing him in a title match, I guess we'll see if his new trainers are really paying off.
