Earlier today, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported that Wednesday's UFC on FUEL TV 1 event averaged 217,000 viewers, which set a UFC-FUEL TV record.

Now, FUEL TV has released additional information, including additional record-setting figures.

Chief among them? UFC on FUEL TV 1 peaked with a record 315,000 viewers during the night's main event between Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez.

UFC on FUEL TV 1, which is the first of six main-card broadcasts on the FOX-owned cable station in 2012, took place Feb. 15 at Nebraska's Omaha Civic Auditorium. Other UFC on FUEL TV 1 milestones included: Most-watched day in FUEL TV history with the total-day average audience up 520 percent overall and 580 percent among men 18-49 compared to February's averages.

Most-watched program and evening of prime-time programming in FUEL TV history

Most-watched event in FUEL TV history among men 18-49 with 130,000 viewers

Although currently cable TV's lowest-rated cable station (among those big enough to garner ratings information), UFC on FUEL TV 1 ranked in the top 10 (No. 9) among all ad-supported cable networks among men 18-49 rating in its timeslot.

That's fucking awesome. When you can go to a carrier with stats like that, I would think your channel is going to get put in a lot more households.

Just like the sport of MMA, this Fox/UFC deal is just getting started. I honestly believe that Fuel will have FX like coverage in a year or two.

The one thing I find interesting about this deal: Fox Deportes shows twice as many PPV replays as Fuel, and Deportes is on basic 1-99 non digital cable from Time Warner out here. I'm not complaining though. Hell, I'm learning Spanish!
