Just a thought but we could run it for a year and track monthly or quarterly (every 3 months) as well as an overall year long winner.
With this you could also impose a quarterly or semi annual free agent period where you can drop one fighter in exchange for another free of penalties. This could be done in order of ranking at the time
Just an idea.....

I realize that there has been confusion, if this game is no longer appealing because we will begin early and run it for a yearish, you may opt out now and no hard feelings. We will decide what to do with your team so don't feel obligated. I just want everyone on the same page. For those who wish to stay, I propose a vote.
1. Continue until the end of 2012 (face it we all die in December anyway or something)
2. Go for an entire year, so end 2/25/2013.
