Regardless of what happens with the Diaz situation, the show must go on. I know Condit doesn't wanna wait around for GSP to heal but he might have to. I guess we'll see what happens in the next couple weeks

Weird quotes pre and post fight. Pre-fight, Condit (or his agent) said they wouldn't wait til November if it takes that long for GSP to get healthy, then Helwani interviewed Condit right after UFC 143 and Condit said November is a perfectly fine time-frame to wait for.

First off, I don't think anyone is surprised that Diaz got popped for ganja again. Whether or not you think it should be illegal is another story, but the fact remains he knows the rules, he broke them, he should be suspended (which he probably doesn't mind since he wants to "retire.")
As for Condit, if he doesn't want to wait for GSP, I say give him the Ellenberger rematch if Jake wins (since I thought Jake won the first fight). If he's cool waiting for GSP, then enough said.
Still sad for Diaz. Such wasted potential. He could have been one of the biggest stars in the UFC. Oh well

Here's what I think happens in the long run for Condit(Diaz is out)
I think Condit gets scheduled to fight koscheck next and then koscheck gets hurt and hendricks steps in...Condit defends the title successfully. The fight with gsp doesnt happen this year . Then condit is scheduled to fight gsp in jan of 2013 but gsp gets hurt, in steps Ellenberger and Ellenberger wins...gsp fights ellenberger and loses. Ellenberger is now the defending 170 lb champ as of may 2013.

Ellenberger should get the shot if he beats Diego if Condit chooses not to wait around.
