Brazilian bantamweight Renan Barao (27-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is among a handful of octagon combatants who use DJ Khaled's 2010 track "All I Do Is Win" to accompany him to the cage.

And while the song's title is more empty braggadocio than realistic claim for most fighters, with Barao, it's pure fact.

While he's flown somewhat under the radar in his UFC and WEC career, the man with the incredible 27-fight winning streak will get a chance to introduce himself to the world on Saturday night.

"If it was up to me, I'd fight for the belt right now," Barao told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) in his native Portuguese. "For now, anyone the UFC puts in front of me I'll fight. It's not my job to be choosy."

Can't wait for him to fight for the title if he should prevail over Jorgenson which I think he will.

Two of the most overrated fighters for different reasons, if Barao loses this he's just another can crusher.

Barao really has put together an amazing streak. Jorgensens a handfull for anyone at BW though. Gonna be tough for Barao to make it 28 in a row. Awesome fight.

CAN CRUSHER!?

I must have been hallucinating when I saw him run through Brad Pickett. That never happened, did it? Must have been imagining things too when he gave Chris Cariaso his only submission loss of his career.

I forgot that losing to a title contender like Spotty Jorgenson was such a bad thing.

That being said, I think he dominates Spotty in a big way and shows why he needs to be fighting the winner of Cruz/Faber 3.

Shit is insane. Is that the longest streak in MMA today?

Probably, although Hector Lombard's not-losing streak (which accounts for the lone draw in his ongoing run) of 24 is slightly more impressive, since he's fought opponents that, according to Wikipedia, exist.

Barão's definitely impressive, but I'm generally skeptical of fighters that have long winning streaks against fighters that are largely unknown. Miguel Torres had a winning streak of 17 (after an earlier one of 20) that helped exaggerate his reported greatness in 2007 and 2008. When it comes to UFC fighters that come from backgrounds like Barao's I tend to eschew their padded record and just focus on how they perform against the best in the world.

How does that bode for Barão? Good so far. If he can defeat Jorgensen convincingly this weekend, even better.

Yah i've noticed his amazing record a few times here on mmaplayground while making my bets, when I finally checked him out in depth ive realized he is quite active in the UFC and has beaten some credible opponents.

If you ask me, its time for him to step up in competition and eventually I would love to see him in a title fight - which will truly show if he can live up to the hype or not!

Comment!
