Too big of a step up for Weidman, rather have seen Paul Harris vs Maia

For me, this is a very tough fight to call. Very interesting. The wrestling edge heavily with Weidman and Jits heavily with Maia. There is a chance this one will just be gunned out on the feet. I see Maia being able to win by submission and decision with (what i believe to be) superior striking. Weidman however I can only see winning by decision. Gotta go with Maia even though wrestling is an excellent edge to have.

Nice. I agree with whoever said it...I like the new matchups much more than the previous matchups.

I want to take Weidman, but on like 10 days notice and still inexperienced in mma, he's a wrestler going against one of the top ground fighters.

Or the two could just stand and trade for 3 rounds.

No brainer here Maia aint subbed anyone lately and Weidman is the real deal I have Weidman pretty easy in this fight...Snoozefest....Weidman will have top control and is way too strong for Maia...

i dont as much. Sonnen vs Bisping is going to be fairly one sided while Munoz would have been more of a fight. Bisping vs Maia i think is a closer fight than Weidman.

Maia should have the striking advantage but dont be surprised to see a trip to top position and a sub win

Put me in that group of folks who are more excited now.

Sonnen-Munoz would have been a much more competitive fight. Bisping could put up a good fight, but more likely that not he gets steamrolled. I like it though because this is just an awesome fight. You gotta love when the heel turns face!

I think Weidman-Maia will be more competitive than Bisping-Maia. Weidman appears to be an insanely good BJJ player himself.... What he did to Tom Lawlor was insane. He slept Lawlor and sent him home to mama like no one ever had. And this was his third UFC fight. If he can use some good ole' American wrasslin and top position while staying out of subs, he can do this.
