Ross Pearson (13-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) isn't fighting Dennis Siver (19-8 MMA, 8-5 UFC) at UFC on FUEL TV 2, event sources today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

In fact, the fighters were never approached about the fight.

Reports surfaced of the possible rematch on Wednesday, and an official UFC Twitter account even made mention of the bout. But no dice, sources today said.

UFC on FUEL TV 2 takes place April 14 at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm. The main card airs on FUEL TV (live on Saturday afternoon in the U.S.), and as MMAjunkie.com first reported, some prelims are expected to stream on Facebook.

The latest UFC on FUEL TV 2 card includes:

Alexander Gustafsson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
Alessio Sakara vs. Brian Stann
Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Paulo Thiago
Damacio Page vs. Brad Pickett
DaMarques Johnson vs. John Maguire
Cyrille Diabate vs. Jorgen Kruth
Simeon Thoresen vs. Besam Yousef
Francis Carmont vs. Magnus Cedenblad
Papy Abedi vs. James Head
Akira Corassani vs. Jason Young*

Good. Can't see why this rematch is required at all.

I was kind of ok with the rematch. But I'm better with them not fighting again.
