Ultimate Fighter alum and UFC veteran Kenny Florian is facing the very real possibility that his career may be over.
Florian told the Boston Herald “a lumbar herniated disc in his lower back has put his future in jeopardy.”

That's a real bummer. Despite the way his career has been going lately he'll be remembered for a long time. Sometimes it's just too easy to forget how successful and important to the sport some fighters once were.

yeah that sucks. even though i really dont like Florian, i was hoping he would retire after getting KTFO or after a few more losses. cant say i will miss him fighting, but this is a sad way of *potentially* retiring

Damn, I was really looking forward to him fight for the Featherweight title 
Seriously though, it would suck if his career is cut a little short due to injury. It's nice to see athletes go out on their terms, not by injury.
He should have no problem continuing his career as a commentator and analyst.
